This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
I have a question for you guys and gals regarding art books. Would you rather have a regular hardcover book or a softcover book that comes inside of a hard slipcase? Thanks!
In the early years of his youth, Daarken attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Most of his days were spent huddled over a sketchbook at a figure drawing workshop or in a cafe, where he was affectionately known as “the guy that likes to draw deltoids.” After three long years of drawing deltoids and video game playing, Daarken graduated Cum Laude with a BFA in traditional illustration. Daarken began his career in 2004 when his incessant video game playing was interrupted by a phone call. The mysterious voice on the other end identified himself as someone from Wizards of the Coast. Daarken immediately blurted out that he would like to work for them. His overzealous nature was countered with the statement “but you haven’t even heard what the project is yet.” And so began the lifestyle of creating monsters and zombies, with the occasional video game playing on the side. Daarken’s true video game playing powers were put to the test when he was hired by Mythic Entertainment in 2007 as a concept artist for Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning. His two loves combined into a gigantic ball of awesomeness, which he happily rolls around all day. He now spends his days creating Warhammer monsters and zombies and, of course, playing more video games.

You have amazing skills. Have you ever thought about doing a comic book cover?

I can't draw a darn thing, so I decided to start writing instead. I should have some short stories up soon and am always looking to potentially work with others on projects. Feel free to say hello!
Hello Mike. Again, I wanted to say thank you for your advice at the Online chat for AAU alumni. I'm going to continue to work my butt off and get there among you awesome concept artists. :-p
Great talent. Your work is an inspiration to me since the first time I've seen your Warhammer arts Definitely one of my favourite artists in the world. Amazing Daarken!

Thanks! Yes I do. I am a freelance artist, so I make my living off of commissions. You can always e-mail me at daarkenart@daarken.com if you would like to know more.
My first job was for Wizards of the Coast working on Dungeons&Dragons. I got the job because they called me on the phone and asked if I wanted to work for them. The same thing happened with Fantasy Flight Games. They called me on the phone and asked if I wanted to work for them.
I just typed 'Warhammer' in the Search bar believing I shall find tons of fan-art material (you know, THAT kind of fan art), and i found this guy. My mind was blown. It must be quite a few years since I've had some of the drawings I saw here on my HD, even a poster... I know this might be against my 'protocols' but I have to fav/follow this page.
